Introduced earlier in the year 2008, Tata nano which is also now known as the “people’s car” is set to be one of the cheapest car’s in the world. It is sure to have given a lot of sleepless nights to the engineers as well as the designers of the car especially when Ratan Tata, the chairman of Tata Motor’s declared his wish to sell the car profitably for a mere 1,oo,ooo rupees.
It is said that the weight of the Tata nano would be half of that of any other normal car. The top speed of the car would be moderate when compared to the other more expensive cars and would range somewhere between 105 to 110 km. But that would not be too much of a problem in the traffic prone cities like Mumbai, Delhi etc.
The car seems to have been designed for an entire family of about 4 and provides the people seated in the car with a lot of leg space as well as head room. It is also said that the car will be able to accommodate four people with ease and comfort.
Since the Tata Nano does not come with additional accessories such as air conditioner, radio, central locking, cup and coin holders, it is said that the profits earned from the sale of car accessories would increase tremendously with the increase in the sale of the car. It is also believed that initially only 1,00,000 nanos would be produced and their delivery would be made post July. The entire world is waiting with baited breath for the launch of the cheapest car in the world.
